CCPGE Successfully Conducted Site Vibration Measurements of Offshore Platform Structures

C&C PetroGas Engineering (CCPGE), commissioned by an offshore oil engineering company, conducted field vibration measurements for the PAP platform structures and the Ariel KBZ/4 compressor units installed on this platform in an offshore gas field located in the Qiongdongnan Basin of the South China Sea. The vibration measurements were conducted by the field vibration measurement team of CCPGE according to relevant international standards. The measurement results, together with the platform structure vibration analysis results, were used to identify the root causes of site vibration. Effective vibration mitigations were proposed to successfully resolve the site vibration problems of the PAP platform structures for the end user.
