From August 28 to September 2, 2024, CCPGE’s field team conducted vibration measurements of mechanical equipment and structures on an LNG offshore platform in the South China Sea.

The objective of the field vibration measurements was to assess the vibration frequencies and levels of an engine-driven generator package and the platform structure supporting it. We aimed to identify the root causes of the vibrations, and propose design modifications to bring the vibration levels within the acceptable limits.

With the work completed by the CCPGE field team, the vibration issues have been successfully resolved, this highlights CCPGE’s engineering capability in resolving complex on-site vibration problems effectively.
